Maybe Nacho has wrote the comment as a joke (and maybe not), but there's a part of truth in it.

So many times I've spent more time reading the comments in the bottom of an article than with the article itself, simply because I wanted to know if those comments may add some valuable information to the article (sometimes it's only an excuse indeed).

Then, comments sometimes distracts more than the articles we read. And, if you write a comment, still more distraction ;-).

I'm taking baby steps toward this so far. I don't have huge blocks of time dedicated to each, but I'm doing my best to separate.

Morning is breakfast while reading blogs.

Then I write my blog post for tomorrow.

Next I read blogs and check in on twitter.

Then I spend an hour or so working on whatever my larger project is at the moment (a book, currently).

Then back to checking blogs, then back for another hour of the big project, etc.

And yet, I can't bring myself to close that gmail tab. Heh.

This is some important dialogue about something that I've found that I've faced almost every day of my life. Having a huge list of to-do's (especially at work) and finding myself mindlessly clicking 'Refresh' on Google News. I eventually changed the hosts file on my laptop at home to point Google News to my own webpage as a reminder, maybe I'll point it to your project here, instead! :D

Thanks, Leo.
